I am addicted to listening to this podcast. Marvellous. My vote for worst Beatle cover song (and I avoid them as much as possible) is the Oasis version of I am the Walrus. Absolute excrement.
The sign of an excellent band (like the Beatles) is their ability to consistently do cover versions better than the original.
