  1. Enjoyed this very much ; interesting discussion of the merits of the album plus some extra 60’s and 70’s anecdotes. Think my favourite tracks are Can’t Buy Me Love and Tell Me Why, both bursting with energy and driven along by Paul’s fantastic walking bass lines. Was this the first album released all self written I.e. No covers ?

    • First self written, yes. And the only album all written by Lennon (mostly) and McCartney.

It’s probably their most joyful album, bursting with the excitement of turning the world on. Pot and the dread of touring would soon set in.

      Great pod too!
